I took two classes this summer, one to satisfy a class within my second major (which I got an A on) and another just to get the math requirement out of the way for graduation (which I got...well...not an A on...) If I'm pulling a 3.7 at my college, and these are the only two classes that I took outside of my college, will they have a strong impact on my LSAC GPA?

Thanks for the help, I'm kind of new here!

They will affect your lsac gpa they same way a class at your school would.

So a community college class I take during the summer would weigh the same as a full, semester-long class during the school year? Really?

So if I get like a B or possibly even worse (unlikely) in a math class unrelated to my major, would this harm my LSAC GPA to quite the extent?

it’s all based on credits. If this is a 3 credit class, like a normal semester long one, it will affect your GPA the same. Just like it would if you had taken the class at your university. It’s just the way it goes.

LSAC gpa is based from all universitites attended. This is why you often see CC transfers have big differences in their LSAC gpa and their graduating GPA.

When will the LSAC gpa be recalculated after summer school. In time to use the recalculated gpa for applications in Dec?

You would have to send in new updated transcripts

whenever you send in your transcripts is when it will be recalculated, but keep in mind you HAVE to send in your transcript

Thanks for the feedback, it really helps. I will hope for the best with this course and will continue investing my time in rocking the LSAT.
