Just Need Some Advice.

Hi, Im new to these boards and just need some help, and or advice in picking a major, as well as a few other things.

Well to start out, I wanted to major in Finance. However, I have been thinking of majoring in Economics, or going off the whole business track and do computer science. Im not really sure which would be better for me. I am really interested in business, financing, the stock market things like. Now currently I am at a community college in MA. I plan to transfer soon and my GPA isnt great I know, especially after viewing some of the posts on this site. It is a 3.2/3.3. I am actually a very bright kid, I just never really applied myself before. It just kind of struck me that I need to you know step my game up and school isnt a game anymore. I was able to get that GPA with literally 0 studying, just doing homework and basically the required work. However, this is going to change(a little late I know but oh well =( I do not want to struggle for the rest of my life and I am going to buckle down. Im just not sure which major would be best for me. I like most people, like money lol. I have researched the major both a little bit, and realized that both of them are similar and have gave people very lucrative lives. So I guess I could use some advice as to which would be the better pick. Also, I plan on going to graduate school ASAP after I graduate from my 4 year school.... This brings me to my next problem

I do realize my gpa is going to hold me back from going to any really good universities. I realize good university=good networking=good job and this is something I am going to have to deal with, and just try to raise my GPA in the comming years with hopes to get into a good graduate school. Anyways, I am looking into a few schools, but I just wanted some other peoples advice on where I should try getting into that I would possibly have a chance with. One of the schools I was thinking about was Quinnipiac, now they offer a program where I could get major in finance and get a MBA in business in just 5 years. Would this be a good road to take or would it be better to get a degree in finance/economics and just get a MBA in something else from a better grad school?

Thanks any helpful response is greatly appreciated. Ill be sure to post back soon

I would go for the hard sciences if I were you as finance (the type you’re probably thinking of) is a rather pedigree’d profession. Have you thought about economics, mathematics, engineering at all?
