Just noticed errors on Common App after submission!!!

Hi there,

I noticed errors on my Common Application after I already submitted it to Yale and UVA.
1) I completely didn't fill out the GPA section of the Academics section!
2) In the writing section, I made a grammatical error while describing my internship. I wrote, "In order to avoid contamination and degradation of samples, I must consistently changing gloves, clean the work surface, and throw away pipette tips after each use."

Yikes! I regret rushing the submission (I was afraid of losing power due to Hurricane Sandy). How bad does this look if Yale sees the grammar error on the application?

To be honest, I don’t believe admission counselors are that petty to dwell on a minor mistake. And for the GPA section, it is not that important because that section is self-reported. Some schools don’t even choose to accept that section.

Thank you for your advice. I am also hoping they are not petty, although since it’s such a competitive school, I do not wish for it to affect my application negatively.

I suppose it’s okay to send a polite email to the Administrative Officer explaining this?
