I am hoping for marines. My top three choices are combat engineering, EOD, and intelligence. But really, I think I will be happy no matter where I end up.

My top choices are either Marine Corps or Naval Aviation and then SEALs is making quite a fight for top of the list too. All in all I will be happy basically anywhere I end up, I really want to go to graduate school first though (hopefully through VGEP).

For major oceanography/ocean engineering and career.... I'll figure it out when I get there, but I have four years until then and I'm in no rush. Surface nuclear caught my eye, but we'll see how everything goes.

USNA exposes Mids to an amazing array of military career opportunities through briefings and training. Whether you already committed to a specialty or not, you may find yourself lured in another direction by amazing speakers and accomplished officers you'll hear and meet. And expect a certain amount of pressure to major in the sciences (I forget what USNA calls them).

I really want intelligence. I understand that's hard. I'm also considering Marines. If I do Marines, I would like to try hard to get into intelligence, but Navy's Intelligence is amazing from what I've heard... so I would also consider doing something else in the Navy that could possibly lead to getting into intelligence. However, I'm not sure of how people go about getting into intelligence units. I just really want to do intelligence because I pick up languages easily, so I figure I should put that talent to good use.
