in my house it's been my college. they're trying to recruit my sister like crazy. :P

My daughter got practically nothing from WUStL. Lots of stuff from NYU and Grinnell, and a heavy recruitment effort from Emory&Henry and Centre.

Evansville. They just wouldn't stop.

For the 2005 crop of freshmen, it was WUSTL at our house, by a considerable amount - followed by Tulane, Case, and Drexel. I remember because my daughter saved every piece of mail, sorted it, and counted before allowing me to recycle it last summer.

xiggi, I've occasionally wondered if there's some way to fix you up with my d (as have many of the moms on the board - let's admit it!). But considering your similar propensity for hanging on to piles of stuff, it probably isn't a good idea ;) .

I agree with most people on this thread. WUSTL was sending alot of stuff, but I have initiated contact with WUSTL. UChicago, also sends me copious amounts of material, unsolicited. But they seem pretty witty I am on the east coast.

I burned all 125 pounds of college mail this summer.

Haha, that was sweet frazzled1! I have to plead guilty on that one.

For some reason my daughter is still receiving mail even though she just started classes at her college! Save the trees people!
FYI- Last year I would say Tulane and NYU won at our house.

Absolutely WUSTL. But part of that is my fault, since I contacted them early last school year when DD was a junior and showed interest (that's since changed and she's not going to apply there).

Also, Grinnell is on our grrrrr list since they insist on addressing her as "Mr."

WUSTL here also. Grinnell (I think?) also has some prospective student mini newspaper they send out monthly which isn't a bad idea, if I had the time or interest to read it.

WUSTL by far. I have received so much mail from them.

In our house, WUSTL, UChicago, NYU (huge giant booklets monthly).

WUSTL, Duke, Emory, Vandy

I wonder how much colleges spend producing, printing and sending all of this stuff. It would seem that those who "hate" merit scholarships because they think it "steals" from "need" would insist that this excessive advertizing spending could go for "need".

My D received a LOT of mail from WUSTL.
