This is just a quick question. I actually did go and search for the old messages and what not and did find out some stuff that I was curious about.

Just wondering:

When you make a teacher do your recommendations, you can use the teacher several times (or the same evaluations for different applications) right? But do you have to give them all the different teacher evaluation forms from different colleges or all of them at once so they'll fill it out and send it at the same time? (i might be doing early decision so I don't know)

And if you did give the teacher only one application at a time, would the teacher usually save the letter in the computer or something so you can ask them to use it again for your next choice colleges?

I'm just a very confused soul.. haha it's sad really. thanks for reading and replying to my stupid questions

we found that teachers generally preferred to get all the recommendation forms at the same time. but in this day and age most save their recommendations on their computer so they can generate another copy in the future. and for the ed school, my daughter made a point of making sure the teachers knew when that one had to be mailed by - one teacher only sent out the ed one within that time, another sent all of them.

but what we think doesn't matter - you need to speak with the teachers you are asking for recommendations since they are the ones you are asking to do this for you. explain why you may not have all at once and ask if they will be able to fill out more at another time if necessary or if they really need them all at once. you should do what you can to make their life easier since they are doing something for you and may be busy with many other recommendations as well.
