Okay, so i checked my decision online on Dec. 15th just like everybody else, it said that I was accepted, but I never received my official acceptance letter. I was getting really worried and so I decided to call the admissions office, but I found out that they were on vacay. When I finally received my letter just now, it was a tiny envelope. I thought it was a deferral/rejection letter since it arrived so late instead of the supposed 2 or 3 days. I opened it and phew... it said "congratulations..." Just curious, was anybody else freaked out like me or did everybody get a huge pamphlet w/ the big letter, etc.?

nope, tiny envelope

Man I'm in trouble. I left school on Christmas Day and I had the letter sent to my school dorm address, thinking (foolishly) that it'd arrive before I left. Now there's no-one is school to send it to me. Should I request another copy?

so all acceptance letters were tiny envelopes?? why is cornell so stingy? shouldn't we get huge colorful pamphlets like all the other colleges?

we get those huge pamphlets in april with the RD kids. heythatslife, just wait till you go back to school. the letter will still be there

I don't go back to school till February... and the deposit deadline is 16th Jan, right?

I havnt got my letter yet.

call them when the admin staff is back from break. since ur already in they probably will be pretty flexible

also they never specified when they would be mailing out the letters so they cant place the blame on you

I hope you're right... I doubt they'd want to lose an ED acceptee over a $400 deposit being a few days late because of mail problems.
