just sent in!

it takes a few days for them to update wolv access. i asked them. so don't worry.

If I just sent in my scores via Collegeboard today, does that mean they won't review or give me a decision until after my scores arrive? I didn't know it takes 3 - 5 weeks for my scores to arrive!

how do we check our application status?

How does this process work for out-of-state applicants? Do the readers just use a higher standard for the catagorization?

No, the two should be roughly equal, although there may be some differences because of a differing mix of, say, public/private school students among out of state students. That can tend to depress GPAs.

The University has different enrollment targets for nonresidents and residents, and manages the admits differently in order to attain them. Resident and nonresident applicants in a particular school of college will all be evaluated the same, but in a given week the U may set a different cut-off for admits, defers, denies, etc. for residents than for nonresidents.

Hoedown, is the end of the 3rd week of October timeline set in stone?

According to Wolverine Access all my materials are there and so now I'm just waiting to hear back!!!!!! However, when I do log on to WA, it has me listed as LSA undeclared even though looking back at my application I put Sociology. Is this going to cause me any problems?

Hauck T, how long did it take for ur teacher recs to "register" on Wolverine Access.....assuming u sent em in by paper...bc it said 10 days but im gettin a lil worried...

It took a long time because I had my teacher send them about 3 weeks before I sent my application. This teacher rec., sent in August, didn't register on WA until SEPTEMBER 19th. I spoke to people in the admissions office and they informed me that when you send stuff in before your application they make a "pre application" file or something, I'm not really sure, and sometimes it take them a while to match things up.

Funny you should ask, as meetings sometimes get rescheduled due to conflicts. It's possible they'll be out a week earlier.

Declared major within LSA makes no difference, so it doesn't matter if Wolverine access says. Isn't it possible that actually declaring a major is a formal process that doesn't happen until you've been on campus? I'm not sure.

It's way too early to be worried about timelines. It's September, people! If teacher rec somehow got delivered to Timbuktu instead of Ann Arbor, you've got plenty of time to correct that.

okay! I've been nervously checking the mail everyday on the off chance I might be notified a little bit earlier than expected. I guess I'm just preparing myself for the big day when the letter finally arrives! eek!

If my application is not considered complete until October, will my chances go down?
and will wolverine access state whether or not an admissions decision has been made?

I too have been wondering if WA will tell us if our admissions decision has been made. I'm not looking to know what it is online, I just want to know if I should start expecting a letter in the mail.

I sent mine in today. What a relief

Well, wolverine access finally has all my stuff, and it says 9/19 was when they processed it or whatever....im so excited...when can i expect my letter? and will i be able to see if i got accepted or rejected online when they make the decision, bc i kno it takes a little while for stuff to be mailed...
ive heard about this "batches of apps" sent at different times bc of possilbe strength of the candidate...im pretty sure im in teh top batch so hopefully its the first batch...whenever that is

"Well, wolverine access finally has all my stuff, and it says 9/19 was when they processed it or whatever"

where does it say that? are you supposed to log-in to your application to find out decisions and such?

thats what im asking.
..but on the wolverine access under application status...it says..."application complete"...processed or sumthin like that on "9/19"

Well on my wolverince access it says application complete and then it also has links for me to click on where I can go and see the exact date each part of the app (test scores, transcripts, essays, teacher rec., etc...) was recieved.

where are the links for the test scores, teacher rec's, etc?

Question to all you who applied: I want to aplly thru the preferred admissions program to Ross. On the teacher recommendation it says wat school you are applying to, should i saw college of lsa, or shoudl isay ross (preferred admissions, or even college of lsa (preferred admissions to ross)?

if the "Your application is complete" line goes away, you've been admitted. Also, if you see financial aid information start to appear, you've been admitted.

uh oh...mine hasnt..hopefully that's not a bad sign...maybe they jus havent updated the "first batch" yet.
