just sharing a pet peeve of mine on college campuses..

I see. I might be moving to DC for the winter semester but I am not sure anymore. (Not because of the traffic, though!) XD

The nicest motorists I’ve ever encountered were in New Hampshire (Hanover). The nicest bus drivers? Pittsburgh.

oh christ the traffic in DC is awful, overall I like living here (partly cos I’ve lived here all my life) but I wanna move for a variety of reasons. Is winter semester only like January? If so you might not like DC. Try and come in the spring when the weather is perfect (a rarity for the rest of the year)

I hate when pedestrians think that everyone should stop for them. Have they ever heard of not impacting the flow of traffic? If it is a cross walk, you can still wait for an opening (unless it is heavy traffic without clear openings.

What is worse is bicyclists who ride in the street, and then don’t stop at stop signs, or do not follow the rules of the road (riding in the crosswalk, etc…). They will cut you off (like if there is a double parked car they will go right in the middle of the road without looking back).

I definitely liked Boston better than Berkeley in terms of drivers and pedestrians. In Boston you would cross the street if you knew that the car was not going to hit you (continuing at the same speed), in Berkeley everyone walks in front of the cars and impact the flow of traffic.

Winter is January to April. I don’t have a choice in timing, that’s just when the program runs. Compared to Michigan though I hear it’s pretty nice. :P

March and April you’ll be good to go  just bring a parka for January and February.
