Okay, so I was accepted into NYU (CAS). However, I have some questions before I choose to attend NYU or attend a state school. I hope someone can answer my questions!!

Are students able to delve right into their major during their freshman year?

Does NYU have many lecture hall style classes?

Pros? Cons?

Thanks so much everyone.

(1) Yes, you can take a wide arrangement of classes your freshmen year.
(2) Yes, NYU has quite a few lecture hall classes. It’s a huge university, so like all other very large universities, it has quite a few classes with 100-400 students. Lecture classes typically have recitations (A class composed of 10-25 students for discussion of lecture, etc.)
(3) Pros and cons differ from person to person, so that can’t be answered unless you give your specific preferences.
