Just spent an 2 hours on the phone w/admissions advisor

It turns out applications are more tedious than expected.

I applied for Texas A&M and I was homeschooled for the last 2 years of high school.

Let's just say if you're not an auto admit you'd better make sure you include every tiny little thing and whatever doesn't fit, make sure you contact someone in admissions and have them add it.

30,000 apply and only 9,000 are accepted. :(

30% acceptance rate isn’t too bad :stuck_out_tongue: don’t stress over it too much

Wow, I didn’t realize that number conversion! I WAS LIED TO! lol, because they actually accept 66% I believe.

Advisor needs to get his numbers right.

Even with that being said I am incredibly nervous. I am in the top 25% but still have no idea what my new SAT scores will be.

Don’t get your knickers in a twist. 23K applied and 16K are accepted which is about 66%. http://www.tamu.edu/customers/oisp/common-data-set/freshman-admission-2010.pdf</a> 8+K matriculate which is probably the number you remember. And if you’re home schooled I would expect there to be additional support needed for your package.

There isn’t anything else to the package :/

How can you be in the “top 25%” if you are homeschooled?

I bet you will get in either way. Go Aggies! Best of luck.

^ that made me crack up. Maybe you’re better than 3 siblings, but worse than one?

OP you should be fine.

Lol thanks. Home school students in accredited programs are ranked in regions by state. Texas has 9 regions. I am top 25 out of the seniors in the region
