I just submitted my application online for University of MD College Park. Their deadline was March 1st. I only filled out the information about me. Transcripts, essays, letts of recs I'm going to deliver to them by this week. Does anyone know if they accept that, or do they want everything in completion by March 1st... I've heard different things.

More than likely that date is tentative to make sure they can start getting down to reading applications as early as possible. Your best bet is to call and ask (you don't have to say your name) if submitting a few days and being at the bottom of the pile will considerably hurt your chances. Bottom line is though, they HAVE to read every application submitted, and if you're a strong enough candidate, you'll stick out no matter where in the process they come across your app. Confidence is Key when it comes to these things. I submitted to one transfer school about 3 weeks after the suggested deadline and two weeks later I was in (Granted it was more of a safety and my stats were pretty on target). Based on my own experience I think you should be fine, but definitely call if it's gonna be bothering you. :)

Good luck, tell me how it works out!!!

Early Application Deadline:

March 1: Applicants who complete their application by this date will have decisions released on a rolling basis. Students should apply by this date for best consideration. Due to space limitations, early application is strongly encouraged.

March 1: Deadline for all U.S. citizens & permanent residents with any non-U.S. academic records.
Regular Application Deadline:

June 1: Applicants who complete their application by this date will have decisions released 4-6 weeks after all materials have been received. Complete applications received after June 1st will be reviewed on a space available basis.

Right from there website... What's the big deal in missing it and getting in for the regular app deadline? That's when i'm going to apply there, figure it's better to have my spring grades when i apply.
