Just throw away the ACT?!

So, i took my SATs, and signed up for ACTs before i saw my scores. Im happy with my SATs but people have said that no matter what, colleges wont see your ACT scores if you just throw them out. I figured that if thats the case then why not just go for it because theres no harm?

but i also have heard that if youve taken the SAT before, colleges see your ACT because theyre on the same sheet and I cant discard the ACT scores now that ive taken the SAT...i dont know what to believe, any help?

Isn't the ACT administered by a different organization than the SAT? In which case, the score report from the Collegeboard with your SAT scores won't show your ACT scores.

The exception could be that your high school lists all test scores on your transcript...

Just don't give your HS code when signing up for the ACT. Then you're in control of who sees it. You can have it sent after the test for a small fee.
