Just to clarify for everyone - official release date...

Here is, verbatim, what NYU has said most recently regarding when we EDers will receive our letters:

"Virtually all Early Decision letters will go out next week, on December 11 and 12."

Now we can all debate what we think "go out" means. Haha.

DAMNIIIIIIIT...this means i hvta wait until WEDNESDAY or possible THURSDAY...i live in central NJ.

I think "go out" means we will GET it on that date. Because they said they were mailing most of them on the 10th, and a lot of people have already been notified.

WAIT....they said they mailing most of them on the 10th?!?! PROOF NEEDED.

admissions.nyu.com :

"Welcome!

December 2007

The majority of admissions decisions for Early Decision applicants will be mailed during the week of December 10th. Most everyone should receive their decision by the end of that week."

^ favorite answer so far.

Proof needed???...kids on CC have already been accepted (GSP AND non GSP) so obviously these guys are not doing anything "by the book"

yeah..I think it's true that they mail most of them on 12/10..
I haven't got any email notification from NYU yet.(I'm an international student)
So I think the reason that I got mine so early is that I actually went directly to the post office and got it by myself...or I should receive it either on 12/11 or later this week I guess.

i meant to DrumsAreForGirls 's answer

I think that means they're mailed out on those dates, but god, I'd love getting my letter tomorrow, if I get in. :3

just kill me.

i feel like just going t the post office myself urgh

Downstate NY and no mail. =[

****read this on another thread - someone found a post from the board administrator on the nyu admissions forum and it said that the acceptances were mailed TODAY. rejections are mailed out tomorrow.

If you bother to go into the details you will see that everyone who has posted their decision so far has been an international applicant. They probably mailed those earlier than the domestic decisions to ensure that they arrive at approximately the same time. So yes, they are doing everything by the book.

If YOU bother to read all the posts...

There have been a few CC'ers accepted (non GSP) who live in the U.S (Rich Merino being one) and at least a few others..so a few regular domestic acceptances have been received

No mail today in downstate NY. Again. Now I have to be all nervous and frantic, camping by the mail box tomorrow. Again. ;__;

just to clear things up. i was accepted into stern NOT thru GSP, but thru HEOP! so they mailed out the program related acceptances and also internationals. not the regular US ones. the end.
