Just to Clarify Rooming/Building 100%

<p>Does anyone know the exact date/time we find out about our building assn. and roommates (if they released info)? I'm going out of town this friday and will only have 1-2 opportunities to access the internet so I'd like to do it at the right time. I've looked at the website (I'm in a U3 Triple) and all they say is "early august". I read on the 2014 Facebook group that it was Aug 6 @ 6 pm? Can anyone verify?

<p>It changes from year to year. Last year the info came out on August 5th. I think if you check back on August 7th, you will know for sure.</p>

<p>yeah they aren’t super clear about that oddly. i’m assuming to bring your cal 1 card…otherwise random crazies could just move in. and know your ID number.</p>

<p>You will have the chance to get it at the beginning of the semester. </p>

<p>drivers license, passport, etc will work to get your room key but then head over to Sproul plaza and get your cal1 card.</p>

Is it possible just to informally trade with someone? Like you meet someone in a different building or even unit and you guys agree to trade and just do it without telling the housing people</p>

<p>^ I guess it’s possible, haha. two people on my floor switched rooms without telling the housing people. RA knew about it, but no one else did and their year was good. only problem was that they had to wait for each other to pick up their mail. not sure about switching buildings though.</p>
