Just Visited, and Harvard is Awesome!

^^^I heard they were really good.

Also...there is a small cafe called "darwins" dont know what it's near...that makes the BEST sandwiches.

But yes...Harvard is awesome...I didn't really get any superior/elitist feeling when I was there. The students are really down to earth and welcoming. I mean seriously? What's there to boast about when you're already a Harvard student?

Darwin's is down Mt. Auburn street west of the Square, if memory serves.

TOTALLY worth the walk.

the indian restaurant is wonderful too (forgot what it's called!) as well as Wagamama!
haha I usually go for the ethnic foods...

haha how about a college confidential (Harvard forum) lunch meeting

Spiffystars- you might be referring to the Indian restaurant Tanjore, which my go-to Sunday night place.

ETA: In case you're wondering, other common weekly destinations are John Harvard's Monday night, Pinnochio's Thursday night, and Uno's Friday night.

Oo, Tanjore is the bomb! (Although Cafe of India makes very good saag paneer). Get the Punjabi lamb with apricots, and you won't be sorry.

I'm so psyched to be coming back to Cambridge tomorrow! It's been way too long.

and to top it off....lizzy's homemade ice cream for dessert.

i live in tx so unfortunately no lunch meeting for me.
i never went in but i remember passing an indian restaurant a lot...tamarind bay maybe? has anybody been there?

eh, great place to talk about food,i was at harvard summer school for 2 months this summer, took intro to bio, hectic course, all the workload of a year covered in 8 weeks, but still it was the best time ever, and harvard square does rock :), pinnochio's (Y)

^ haha yes, SSP is how I discovered all these great places.
But yeah everyone needs to go to the Indian place (where I discovered the joy of naan bread), then go downstairs to Wagamamas for asian noodles another time!!

UNO's had the best little pizza pies, plus really awesome "snack" type foods for $3! Oh and my amazing proctor did order us some Pinnochio's every now and then and it was really good too.

I do not however, recommend the Chinese place on Massachusetts Ave...no no noooo.

I also remember making many 2am 7-11 runs with my suitemates. Being close-ish to 7-11 was probably the only up side of being in Quincy House :)

We were up for parent's weekend and had a fabulous time. We ate at Grafton Street Pub -they had great food for adults and little kids. The little pizzas were really good.

We also ate at Au Bon Pain. I wish there was one in my community. And we ate at The Red House - also fabulous (could be my new favorite.).

We went to North Boston to Lucca's ***** (that's my 5 star recommendation) The absolute best pasta e fagiola!

Does Wagamama have slurpy noodles?
