If you arent social whatsoever and you really don't like to be around other people but you love the idea of boarding school and like to do nothing else but academics all day long is boarding school a good choice for you?

It works for some, but not for others. I'm shy and I do fine. I only have a two or three close friends, but I have other friends as well. I've found that I've also opened up a lot and have become more outgoing since I've gone to boarding school. Even though you live in a dorm, there is always time when you can have a little peace and quiet. People also respect your need for privacy.
There are all different types of people at boarding school. Some people know everyone on campus, while others only hang out with a couple people. Sometimes it is a little more difficult if you aren't social because people want to get to know you. You're teachers are interested in your life outside the classroom and kids in your classes want to know who you are. If you find a school that feels right for you and seems to fit, it's worth a try. I recommend touring some diffferent schools to see if you can envision yourself there.
If you think that the social aspect of boarding school isn't very appealing I also recommend looking for good private day schools in your area.

one thing to keep in mind is that when youre at boarding school, youre not just at school all day long-- youre around your peers 24 hours a day as well. you may even live with a roommate in a one room double. going to boarding school definitely forces you to learn how to live with people (which can be really fun!). also, theres a lot of collaboration outside the classroom, academically and in clubs, sports, music etc. that said, there certainly are kids who dont socialize more than the bare minimum required to function in a dorm. they can get a lot out of going to boarding school as well.
