just wondering about roommates, I need some opinions

Well I've noticed that there are many people that freak out because their roommates are different races, controlling, or for other reasons. I'm worried about having two roommates in a room that's smaller than my current room that I've never shared with anyone but pretty much nothing else. I sometimes wonder how we're going to split up the 2 closets between the 3 of us, but it's really not a big deal.

I don't care what race my roommates are, just how they are. As long as they have nice personalities, I'm fine. I do wonder if they're going to be one of those people that freak out because I'm not the same race as them or anything crazy like that. Are those racist people, uncooperative people, and other bad roommates common?

I think your worries are unsubstantiated. I doubt race is going to be the stem of your problems with your roomate(if you have problems). It's more or less how your personalities mesh.

what's with all this racist paranoia?

" Tolerance and patience is the key"

The mantra in my house during the holidays (when we have a very, very full house) is "Be tolerant and tolerable". When someone starts to complain, someone always says "tolerant and tolerable...."

I think the same goes for roommates. Do your best to be considerate, and it will probably make them want to do the same for you.
