just wondering...

well i'm just wondering...
is there anybody who still didn't get his/her decision yet?
this is so weird...:T

did you apply for early or regular?

early.
a part of my friends didn't get it on the day they sent most of the decisions out.
and some of them got them last week.
but some still didn't come yet.:T
seriously this is so frustrating.

did you check online?

maybe all of your application related stuff wasnt in by dec 1,if it was then u should def call them up

somebodynew:
yeah i did.
it still says "we are unable to offer you a decision on your application at this time. you will be contacted as soon as the decision process is complete".:T

india2007:
well i'm sure everything was in before december 1 and i do have the record in my account too.
i emailed them but didn't get anything back.
probably i'll call this friday.:/

babyjane, the "we are unable to offer you a decision.." statement means you were deferred to regular decision.

I have one friend who was deferred to regular decision. I think it's kind of odd seeing as a ton of priority people got Spring admit. So, do those deferred to regular still have a shot at Fall admission? Or what? Oh well. I hope she gets in. From the people I've talked to, this has happened to barely anybody, so it's weird...

My son received the "wait" message as well. He double checked online to make sure that they have everything and they did. (Well, his stats are good enough to land him a big scholarship at UMBC so it was difficult to imagine that he was deferred.) He was content to wait but I was not. So I called yesterday and it was a good thing that I did. Since he had taken a few course at local colleges, his college course grades were sent to UMCP. Whoever filed the college course grade report thought that he was a transfer applicant. Apparently without double checking the aplication itself, the person put his entire file into the transfer pool. The admissions counselor I spoke with apologized and said she would make sure that the application would go through the committees and my son would not lose out on any possible scholarship/program that he might qualify for. She assured me that my son would hear within two weeks.

I am sure that not every "wait" application is a filing error but, if you are sure you have everything in good order and you have comparable stats as some of the accepted students who posted here on CC, it is worth a call. Afterall, they do have to contend with thousands of applications.

Good luck.

I continued to get the "We are unable to offer you a decision at this time" message and was started to get worried. I emailed an admissions counselor and the counselor quickly emailed me back that there was a processing error and I'd hear in 2-3 weeks. Within 4 days I learned that I had gotten in to the school

thx ppl.=)
i called the admission office today and they told me that my decision was just sent today.
so hopefully i'll get something in the mail tomorrow.=P

good luck

My friend who recieved that message just got accepted yesterday :).

So, it's not a rejection at least!

My D finally got her acceptance letter yesterday!!!

congrats newdawn6!!!
so did she get into honors?
i still haven't got mine yet.
remember last time they told me that they just sent it on that day?
i got nothing and i called again.
and they told me that mine's still in process.
i seriously have no idea why i got two totally different answers.
anyway again congrats!!

No....she did not. I'm a little disappointed since the reason they gave me was that she was being reviewed for the Honors program. I really don't know how they are handling these applications...but it's not right to have kids submit by the priority deadline, give them a decision date and then later hold up the decision for over 3 weeks pass the that decision date. All other colleges my daughter has applied to have stuck with their decision date.

I'm sorry you have not heard yet. I too got 2 or 3 different answers everytime I would call the admission's office.

Hang in there! I know these are grueling months but it will all be behind you and where ever you go...I'm sure you will be perfectly happy!
