Just wondering

Does anyone have any idea if frosh admissions committee and transfer admission committee are the same? And if it is the norm for them to pull out a previous application if a student has applied to the college in H.S.? Esp if they were admitted or waitlisted?

Not that there is any action I can take on my part with this info. But I was just curious if the process was very, very holistic and meticulous and if they would consider even H.S. recs and essays in the event that one is a borderline applicant. Yeah I know this is the kind of information that is totally unnecessary and I need to just chill but the quesiton crossed my mind... haha.

I'm primarily referring to the most difficult schools to transfer into like Stanford where seats are limited and qualified applicants many.

There are different committees at most schools and the process is holistic, assuming that the applicant is not below the standard of acceptance as far as GPA and SATs are concerned.
