Just wondering...

<p>how much influence do you think colleges put specifically on the essay score from the SAT. some of the places i've looked at ask for the actual essay score, but i don't know how much it would really count.</p>

<p>I still think most schools aren't even especially factoring the writing in yet.</p>

<p>essay counts 100%. every school in the world analyizes the essay picking out the smallest of errors in your prose before outright rejecting you because u missed a comma in an appositive</p>

<p>Hmmmm... I'm guessing that U.Penn is an exception to this rule. :p</p>

<p>^luck for you. lol. Ya I doubt they care that much, because even a couple of the ivy's still don't really look at the writing section. It's just too new and most schools don't really feel that comfortable with it. What I hear most often is a good writing score will look good but won't make a huge difference, and a bad one won't hurt you horribly, but it may make all the difference.</p>
