just wondering...

my hs and college stats are pretty dismal...2.5 hs. gpa...2.7 college gpa (2.3 first sem, and 3.0 second sem), due to people problems and family issues (which i know is not a good excuse)...i know the probability of me getting a 4.0 next semester is really low...but im just sick of not being able to perform to my potential and have been in depression long enough...therefore i already started preparing for my courses over the summer and hope that i will do really well next semester...again im not saying that i will get a 4.0, just that im a lot more determined too. that being said i have 3 main questions...

here is the list of colleges i want to apply too:

rutgers nb (oos)
ucsd (oos)
northeastern
bu
brandeis
lehigh
mcgill

i know the probablity of me getting into the last three are very little to none...however i really like mcgill and would love to go there...they say on their website that they do not require a hs transcript for junior transfers...however i was wondering if they required sat scores since mine are pretty low? also is it worth the cost of applying to these schools? does anyone have any schools that I could look into? (molecular bio major, geared twoards med school)...thanks in advance

Actually, I am more unfamiliar with the procedures for the last three. I am not sure why you want to go to Rutgers or UCSD OOS. UCSD is quite competitive even for in-state applicants with 3.3+ and is expensive; Rutgers is also expensive. Why not try for your own state school if it is better than where you are now and save money for med school.

Work hard. A 2.7 is not good enough for any US Medical school no matter where you are for undergrad; try to focus on your GPA and other factors and they will help you regardless of whether or not you transfer.
