<p>Good it be that girls are just harder working and want to do all of those EC’s and grade grub to that A. Guys aren’t expected to do all of these things and are often frowned upon when they do. I still have not seen one completly viable source that states that clearly better girls get turned down in favor of guys and it is unreal to believe that. What defines a good canidate is always subjective. Girls will do some things better than guys and vice versa. It cannot be expeccted that a college is going to stop accepting men who can support the school later, in favor of a purely hard working girl. To me this thread is a just a venue for girls who feel that the whole world is out to get them to voice their opinions. You girls just have to learn for the first time in your life that LIFE AINT FAIR. Sometimes there are things outside of your controll and you just have to live with it.</p>
<p>News to me, at the Villanova House of Engineering open house I sat through a half-hour long preachings about how women engineers at Villanova are much more sought after, their benefits, etc. Most parents who had kids go to Villanova said that an average girl will get in over an above average guy for engineering.</p>
