I thought the squadrons went from A-J… what’s this about “K” squadron?

BCT squadrons should go from A-J, yes. I've never heard anything about a K squad. The only thing I can think of is that it's for outprocessing. During the academic year, cadets who are outprocessing are said to be in squadron 41. This could be the same type of thing. Where did you hear about it?

Got a postcard from a cadet who said he thought his roommate was bound for K squadron. Basic talk for "outta here?" Sounds like you are right, Petko.

K squadron or the lost squadron was the place they sent kids who were waiting medical rollback or being sent home last year.

Medical rollback? Does that mean they can try again next year?

yes. If a basic is medically turned back they have an automatic spot held for them in the next class.
