<p>It's a perfectly good college. And while it may come up on the numerous "Colleges with worst names" lists we like to make on CC, I don't think it's <em>the</em> worst by any means. There are some pretty bad ones.</p>
<p>And while it's ok to express that a certain name doesn't appeal to you, perhaps to the expent that you wouldn't apply, it is really rude to single out one to mock for no apparent reason.</p>
<p>Ok Kalamazoo is about 30 mins away from me. It's a GREAT college, I have a few friends who go there. </p>

<p>Plenty of people "in their right mind" would choose to attend an excellent LAC like Kalamazoo College. As a matter of fact, my S. is returning home today after a wonderful freshman year experience. </p>

<p>Haha, my friend's sister goes there and when he told me the name of the school I thought he was joking with me. Anyway, I hear it is a good school and it would be silly to judge it just based on the way its name sounds.</p>

<p>all i can say is this guy went to kalamazoo undergrad and then got a "full academic scholarship and teaching assistant fellowship" for grad school at University of Notre Dame</p>
