I was looking into the Master of Science in Business degree from KU. The typical degree has a Finance concentration attached to it. I looked at the website and found very little data in terms of admission into the program. Does ANYBODY know anything about the program's applicant statistics? Anyone been accepted into the program or applied and didn't get in? I'm a little disappointed in the lack of information the KU website provided, but that's why we have College Confidential right?

why ku? iowa is 4 hours north and a much better set up

My girlfriend lives in Lawrence and is looking to get into their Masters of Music program, so it’d be great to go to school with her. Also, KU’s MSBF students get to meet Warren Buffet. Not saying that makes or breaks a program, but it’s a great perk for me. Also, I wanted to get an MBA from KU, both degrees will take a combined time of 2.5 years, so I like that schedule.

i had a similar reason for looking at KU; i contacted their admissions about MSF and they only accept 1 person a year for that program according to the person I talked to. Its pretty regional if your gonna stick around ks/mo you should do MBA.

Did you end up applying to their MSF program Cmoss? I want to get the MSF and then MBA, I think in the long run it will give me a better chance of managing within a financial institution. But I’d like more info on the MSF program, they told me they accept 2-6 people a year, and that a 3.4/660 are preferred. I have a 3.4 and my SAT was a 1470, it doesn’t automatically give me a 730-740, but I think I’m very capable of a 3.4/660. I guess I’ll have to call them and try to pry info.
