Anyone use it and does it help?

I heard it's loaded with errors.

yea... i'm using it and doing their program... the teachers are retarded... can't do math... and their questions are so ambiguous... i don't recommend it

The reading comprehension questions, especially for the short passages, are too easy compared to those on the real new SAT in the official guide

Bottom Line: Buy the Sparknotes book or another Kaplan or Princeton Review book for the hardcore strategies and buy the Collegeboard book for the realistic tests.

I've never seen Kaplan 2400, but Kaplan 1600 didn't look like it was very helpful. I read through a copy after I finished taking SATs and it seemed pretty gimmicky.

uhoh I just came back from the store with this, when I saw this thread!

corrections: http://www.kaptest.com/pdf_files/NEWSAT2400errata.pdf;jsessionid=I04NVNWTMHR2JLA3AQJXBNFMDUCBE2HC

besides the errors, I like this book

and I really don't think the CR section tips are gimmicky... i think that for regular sections, you should just read the passage, but this book has some good tips for the tough passages.

lol they should release another book with corrections to the errors. There are so many of them! But seriously, I find errors unacceptable. They have a whole company and if just one person completed the whole book, I don't see how they could miss any errors.

i just don't understand how it's possible to have so many errors. When I'm prepping, I don't want to worry about whether or not there are errors, it's just so annoying.

Well, for me, I'm slightly desperate for the harder material in math. I figure if I skip over the error questions, I'll be okay.
If anyone knows any other way to get the harder material (besides the Official Course book, of course, and takesat.com) please let me know!!

I suck at math, but I can't buy a book with as many errors as kaplans. And I'm preparing for the sat2 math 2c with barrons', so i'm helping that'll help out as well

kaplan's books are too full of errors. wow i bought a kaplan's verbal book and it had an error in the first lesson (Kaplan's Verbal Workbook 5th edition, analogies section, sky=fog???). thats how i lost confidence in that book. i dont trust kaplan at all.

Wow... was going to use this book too... blah that is 8 pages of errors... -_-

8 pages of errors...lol

this is why you only buy the stuff from college board, especially when it comes to the new sat.

heck, i have the sparknotes prep pack for the new sat and they don't even have the format of the test right! they also have tons of errors...

the content sucks.

go to hell kaplan, thats wat i wanna say everyday
