How accurate is the kaplan ACT book? Easier, harder, about the same?

I have the PR one, not the Kaplan one, and would definitely suggest PR. If you search the forums, it's the most recommended one aside from the official book.

I have it..and didn't see anything useful in their tips...what did you find useful? Maybe its because I've had a bad experience w/ them so I'm biased.

yeah, its seems to be working OK with me. It just seems like their tips aim to help people score no higher than 26 or so. I can't break 28. :(

Yeah...we need to gather strategies from those CCers who scored 31+...books only seem to be good for those that can miss a dozen questions lol

I think the ACT is less about tips and tricks and more about the subject matter, so focus on the fundamentals. The PR strategies are good, but it will help if you keep an error log to see what kinds of mistakes you're making so you can target the weak areas.
