Anyone else take the Kaplan course? The format and question types they gave us were completely different than the actual SAT. I mean, even the writing format was different. The FORMAT. My score actually went down. I was getting 2280s in that class (top of my class, everyone else was getting 500s so the tests weren't easy scams or anything) and on my PSAT I got a 2050. On this SAT I got a 1980. How do you think Kaplans was?

I've ways found that I've done better on practice tests than on the real thing (Using the 8 offical real sats book). No course can really simulate the conditions during the actual testing. As for the difference in your PSAT and SAT scores, I've always felt that the PSATs were much easier, because of both difficulty level and length.

oh yea... i was scoring about 2250... i got a 2130...

i did kaplan, we were made to write formulaic essays so i did that- got 12s on the essays in the class. did the same thing on the real SAT, got a 7.

i wrote formulaic essays, and i got a 12

however it's probably what your ideas are based on

i backed my majority rule idea w/ plato, black boy (novel) and history

Not only did I gain any knowledge from Kaplan or Princeton Preview, my practice test scores decreased progressively.

my scores actually went down from the psat too because of following their advice on the essay. nothing went up. screw this im just giong to do the collegeboard blue book of 8 real sats

Kaplan sucks

exactly what vintor said
