kaplan course

How effective is the SAT Kaplan course? Opinions from people who took the course would be great. I got a 1900 (560 CR, 670 M, 670 W) with some studying and would like to get at least 650, 700, 700 respectively. Is this possible with the Kaplan course

kaplan wasnt that great for me

i went from 1200s to low 1300s

i was really dispointed because i took it twice and the second time around, my last score in kaplan was around 1390 but i ended up gettin aroun 1310 on the actual. (i got 1310 twice)

self-studyin, my score is around 1400s right now..

i suggest princeton review over kaplan

kaplan tends to inflate their scores so u feel more confiendet, bad tactic in my opinion,

any course is bad

I had the same question last year.
If you are not motivated and your parents can afford to pay $900, I think it may help you to start the SAT preparation process. My son was like that in his sophomore year. So I had him taken the Kaplan course last summer. His SAT practice score had improved from 1900 to over 2000. It really helped him to get 221 from 186 in PSAT score. However, Kaplan won’t help you too much after 2000. You really need more practices on Real SAT exam (previous exams). My son took the real SAT exam twice in junior year with score 2150 and 2332. So I guess you can say Kaplan help a little. I am pretty sure he would have reached the same result without taking Kaplan course if he was motivated enough.

i agree, kaplan can only do so much

like it will improve ur score, but not extremely high, u gotta do that ALL by urself

I really liked the inclass practice exams and personal feedback on essays. I took it last year and studied on my own and I got 2390 in October.

I think PR is better than Kaplan too.

Princeton Review was great for my kids...very personalized and thorough. hundreds of points gained.

agreed....
