One of my friends got 2000+ on the SAT in 7th grade. Now, in 10th grade, she used the Kaplan books and got a 1810...

your friend is a genius… kaplan really is a fail. and princeton review.

Wow are you friggin serious? That’s crazy! Major Kaplan fail right there… Or maybe it’s your friend failing. Dunno.

drugs are bad…

all I’m gonna say

princeton review isnt all that bad. they do give you some good tips and tricks

i took all the SAT Critical reading questions in a kaplan book for the Nov SAT, and it really didnt help that much…im hoping for at least a 650 + on it but the kaplan book kinda failed since im somewhat worried about my score

flashcards for the vocab and barrons books are the only things that work :P

I agree with Niklas. Your friend must have been

1.) on drugs
or
2.) sleep deprived during the test
or
3.) unmotivated to take the test

Even if you took Kaplan tests, your test scores wouldn’t DROP. Kaplan isn’t THAT bad, although everyone should definitely avoid it when prepping for the SAT.

i always felt that kaplan did one hell of a job explaining the writing section.
yeah, the tests suck, but i’m referring to the lessons.

and this is coming from someone who got 800’s on writing both times i took the SAT’s.

My daughter has been practicing for SAT using books from Barron’s, Princeton Review, Kaplan and the College board. She has done fairly all along. We signed her up for a Kaplan class room course. She is finding the CR parts of the test considerably harder than anything she has seen so far in the books. The Math and Writing are in-line with what she has worked with in the books. Does this make sense ?. Is Kaplan class room courses that much harder than actual SAT ?.

QFT. 10char

Most of the tips are terrible. I remember a question where they recommended substituting each of the answers into the question (Plugging In The Answer) when you could just calculate the answer in a second.

kaplan is like when you dont have coke or pepsi and have to go with the walmart sam’s choice brand

inb4 Kaplan sucks
