If anyone has taken a Kaplan course, how did you like it?
What is the best thing and worst thing, if any, about it?
Did it raise your score, how much?

Thanks

i took kaplan twice; first time it sucked, second time it sucked. i dont recommend

PR is way better.

don't take it, i spent most of the time doodling all over the workbooks
i think my score actually decreased right after i took the course, lol.

I've heard a lot of negative feedback about Kaplan as well. Maybe it's not a good idea to take the course?

I'm taking the Kaplan course right now. My teachers are not qualifiedl, and most of the tips are common sense. Unless you seriously need help on all sections, don't waste money on it.

It is really not worth it... I found 2 helpful lessons...

Their RYSEM handbook has good writing prep though.

As a Kaplan teacher, I do think the course is good. However, it really depends on the quality of the teacher you have (for any SAT course, I would assume that to be true.) If you are in a course with a bad teacher, or just not a great one, I would highly recommend switching classes.

Don't bother with PR either. My score went down 120 points after 5 weeks. Their strategies are stupid. If you're good in math, I suggest you stick with what you know and don't even bother using what PR gives you. I tried practicing with their strategies but it actually takes longer than my method for math problems. It just confuses me.

waste of money. same things as in the book. dont waste time money effort
