<p>How hard is it to get an SAT tutoring job with Kaplan?</p>
<p>Are they extremely selective about whom they hire?</p>
<p>Kaplan only accepts applicants who have scored at or above the 90th percentile on whatever exam they wish to teach.</p>
<p>The interview process consists of an short group interview in which you have a teach a non-academic lesson. For example, how to plan a vacation, how to fry an egg, how to apply make-up, etc.</p>
<p>If you make it past this round, they will have have a 5-day provisional training class. Should you not perform well during a certain day, they could choose to discontinue your involvement with the company.</p>
<p>Scores aren’t their primary goal. Their primary goal is to find enthusiastic (young) people who can teach from their curriculum.</p>
