Kaplan vs. Princeton, local classes

Hi,
I am a high school freshman going into sophomore year. I am deciding between two course in Summer near my place:

[Class Schedule/url

[url=<a href="http://testprep.princetonreview.com/CourseSearch/Search.aspx?productType=C&rid=1&Zip=18914&itemCode=23%5DFind">http://testprep.princetonreview.com/CourseSearch/Search.aspx?productType=C&rid=1&Zip=18914&itemCode=23]Find</a> courses for the SAT, ACT, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, GRE, and more at The Princeton Review.](<a href="http://www.kaptest.com/class_schedule.jhtml?classId=1002081504%5DClass">http://www.kaptest.com/class_schedule.jhtml?classId=1002081504) - Course 110700012 (30 hrs of classes, 4 practice tests, 8 more online practice test, books and material, access to online till the test date, generally folks bump the score by 150, $999-$200 discount=$799)

Any opinions?

In my opinion you should self study for SAT believe me it is a lot better than spending lots of money and time at SAT prep classes.
I will suggest you to read this

Prep courses are great for certain people, while others think they’re a waste of time and money. It totally depends on how you study. I was terrible at even thinking about studying for the SAT. I wasn’t at all happy with the score I got when I took the March exam, so I signed up for the PR classroom course ($699). It totally forced me to spend my weekends prepping, and I feel way more prepared then I was before. If you don’t take the course seriously and don’t do any of the homework or what your instructors recommend, don’t expect to get any higher on your tests.

Again it all depends on how you study. The PR practice tests are slightly harder than the actual SAT (which in my opinion is great. It’s like training to fight a dog, by fighting a wolf). Take a BB practice test before you make your decision. If your happy with that score then self-study (with a TON of practice tests) should help you fine. But if you lack the motivation to get up and do these yourself (like me) a course can only help.

I HIGHLY recommend the princeton review, against Kaplan. (I had a cousin who tried both, took Kaplan first, her scores dropped. Took PR and saw a 300 point increase)
Btw I take my SAT next saturday, wish me luck!
Feel free to pm me any questions you have about the course. I found it extremely helpful.

PR pushed me from the following scores:
C: 33
M: 36
E: 33
R: 33
S: 29 (!!!)
W: 8

to

C: 35
M: 34
R: 34
S: 36 (!!!)
E: 36
W: 11

So, make of that what you will. I had a private tutor.
