Kaplan's 12 Real Tests

How would one compare the difficulty of the practice tests to the actual one?

For me, they aren't accurate at all o_o

^There are some many CB tests out there...
There's like 35 CB tests you can pull practice from..

I have done most, if not all of the critical reading sections.
I can't do sections where I remember the story. There is utterly no point.

That's why I'm trying other books.

Anything you guys could suggest?

u 've done the 10 RS yet/?? if u literally finished all BB, including QAS, y dont u start redo them or just review?? ur scores wont go much higher , seems like u hit a peak . =p
dont try kaplan, kaplan is crap. pr is crap, all non cb is crap.

Yeah, I finished all of BB (twice), QAS from 2006 til now, and 10 RS.
I mostly want to work on analyzing CR passages (my main weakness).

Why is PR crap?
I find it pretty accurate to CB.

The math section of the Kaplan's test is a joke. So freakin` easier than BB and RR's.
The reading and writing sections are somewhat sufficient.

PR is actually pretty accurate and good for all sections.

Their writing sections are very accurate, at least in my case.

i dont recommend using non cb such as kaplan's after getting familiarized with the patterns of CB's. when i started,i did pr barrons and kaplans, i was naive back then,i didn't know that cb materials are actually the best ones, ended up getting 540 in W back in may, but prior to that, ive been getting like 650s in W in non cb's . after that,i got frustrated,i came to this site, now i use all CB's . i never looked at kaplan and pr again. i use cb materials accordingly, bb first, then oc, then 05 qas up till now, i have 2 more QAS to go till im done and set for oct. i also do 10 RS Cr and M for practice, i only trust CB, im sick of those big companies. im accustomed to cb materials, so i 'll be expecting the same type of material on oct, instead of some other whacked questions provided by the non cb's .
so no, dont use them at all. u really shouldn't use up all the materials`~~
and how exactly did u analyze the readin Q's ? do u spend like 30 mins ish for passages in a section? dont rush when u analyze passages~~
the way i do passages is something like this: i do a passage, usually in chunks, so not the whole section, but indiv passages. i do the Qs for that passage, leave it there. the next day, redo the same passage, usually i'd be getting the same answers, if not changing 1 or 2 ans. then i check the answers, analyze and all that; reading was very hard for me,but over the summer,i've + more than 100 points. idk if u do this, but this way definitely helped me. i dont rush passages at all ~~ doing a whole bunch of passages isn't gonna help much, remember : quality>quanity =]]

@xcellerator, yeah kaplan's is really easy lol... it has many flaws too, there was a Q that has a wrong answer lol... ahh whacked boooks
sry thats alot lol

So your method is:

Read 1 or two paragraphs; answer the questions relating to them
rinse and repeat?

For some questions that have almost the same answer choice, do you go to the passage and look for a specific word to disprove one of them?

CR is the reason I can't break 2100..
I get 750ish on Math and 700ish on W, but CR can't break the 600 barrier.
I don't know if it's because English is my second language, but I just find it hard to analyze anything.

is the cr or writing portion in that book accurate? because I ran out of books myself and I'm thinking of getting that

so other than the BB, you can get other CB tests from online?? how?? are they on this site??

@Sriacha, my approach is basically grammatix ~, however,it didn't work for me at first, but slowly i incorporate it into my own style. each person has a diff technique; so some people read the whole passage first, which i dont recommend lol, most people read the Q ,then go to passage, refer to the lines, and back and forth, covering back and forth~~
what i said in the previous post ~ i meant that , u know how sometimes there are 2-3 passages in a section? i do like 1 passage ,the whole passage, not just paragraphs,~ well u know, that was prep phrase, no hassle,~ i've done alot of passages, and im getting better at it, i know u can do it too..~
what are u getting in SC?

I hardly ever miss SC. Every now and then, there's a bizarre word that I've never heard of. But usually, I'll be able to eliminate 3 out of the 5 answers.

Most of my mistakes are in the passages.
