karnes house?

what do yall think about this place?
1. is it a good place for girls looking to rush (freshman)
2. is it a good alternative to SRD and Hardin House (I cant live there because they are full)
3. How would it compare to University Towers?

You can easily pull up ammenities and pricing schedules and do a comparison, so I am reading your question as : Is the Karnes nice enough to not hurt my rushing chances? Is that really what you are asking?

Karnes is part of Hardin and many sorority girls live there…so you would be fine to live there…My D knows several that live there and she said they are really nice!

Towers is FULL of crazy fraternity guys. I would not want my D to live there…they are known to sit on thier balconies and throw water balloons and other various things at the PNM’s going through recruitment…not cool! My D avoids walking by there at all costs…

yeah i wanna live somewhere that doesnt hurt my chances but i also want to live somewhere with mainly freshman and girls who rush! which one would be better? i also want somewhere where its easy to meet people

Yes, 2. It is part of Hardin House & 3. Much nicer than towers.

My daughter will be living in Karnes this fall.

@katytx will she be a freshman this fall?

I believe if you live in Karnes, you are on the Hardin meal plan. If that is the case, you will meet Hardin girls in the dining hall etc. I know that there is alot of socializing between Hardin girls and Karnes girls…If I were to choose between Karnes and Towers for my D, I would pick Karnes hands down.

^^ yes she will be freshman. She would be mortified if she knew I was posting on CC. But I think I gave you the advice she needed. You should act now before spaces are gone.

^ If you are in Karnes, you are a “Hardin Girl”. You get a Hardin id, etc. You are not really any different than the girls accross the street in Red house other than you do not have a “front desk”. And you are correct about the meals.
