Hey, I'll be a sophomore transfer student in Kay Hall next year (not ideal, but I'll deal)... I was wondering if you guys could give me any input about it (distance from main campus (Arts and Ag Quad, mainly), dining, facilities, room size (singles, specifically), etc? Thanks!

1) New dorm so it’s super nice and has A/C
2) 8-10min walk to arts quad; 10 min walk to ag quad if you take the foot bridge and go around the back by MVR
3) two seconds away from Appel; 3 min from RPCC dining

One of the nicer dorms on campus, you’ll be with phalanxes of freshmen.

wait wut?

i thought kay hall was freshman only?

It is freshmen only, Cornell just had to scatter transfers throughout North Campus (including 7 sets of quintuples in the lounges of North Campus residence halls). I called them up and found out that they decided to put the younger transfers on North Campus because there wasn’t enough room on West. My birthday is really late, a decent number of freshmen are probably older than me haha

wooow thats kinda icky. usually they will put transfers in a program house or something.

I lived in Kay as a freshman (then Court Hall)…I think it’s the nicest dorm on campus. Close to campus, new dorm, suite style layout, lots of lounge space, and close the RPU for Sunday Brunch :)
