Hi my name is Jordan and I’m a senior looking to apply to King’s College London. I am trying to apply for film studies as an international student considering I live in the US. I want to know how I will be considered as a candidate. I heard that UK universities don’t accept GPA but they accept test scores and accept you based on the courses you take towards your major. I have above average SAT scores and I have taken many film related courses in my curriculum. I also plan to shoot and send in a short film with my application. I’m not sure what else I would need to ensure my acceptance. Any suggestions?
Go to the UK student forum and read about personal statements. There is a lot of good advice there. Then go to UCAS and print the section on letters of recommendation for your guidance counsellor. Work with the counseller to come up with an appropariate letter of rec and predicted grades.
AP courses and exam grades (current and predicted) are important. Look up american entrance requirements for your course on KCL website.
You can apply to 5 colleges through UCAS. Did you consider other unis, besides KCL?
Thank you will do. I have looked at other schools in the London area but KCL is the only one that really had everything I want.
Is London a must for you?
