keeping grades aka prevent rescind

my grades in about 2 classes have dropped since i got in back in Dec, my gpa has dropped probably about .2, am I fine? I found that for engineers, the AP credit you can get is pretty much just calc/physics/chem/bio/english. so if I'm slacking in AP classes that 'dont matter', is that ok? it's not like completely throwing away a class, but like dropping from A to B.

i just can't motivate myself much more for non-math/sci classes. i want to go to Cornell asap!

I want to know too

Were you accepted yet?

If you were and the class "doesn't matter" I doubt that dropping ten points or so is that terrible. It's not like you're failing (which is the really the only reason in my opinion to rescind).

you should be fine. i was in a similar situation. i was accepted ed with all a's and a-'s in AP and honors classes and then this year, my grades dropped to a C and B and 3 A-. Nothing happenend. If it's a big drop in GPA, they might askk you about it through short correspondance, but as long as you can explain and show that you have been trying, you should be find and keep your acceptance.

I heard they only rescind for D's and F's and out of school trouble

You can use certain AP classes as Liberal Studies credits... so those potentially matter as well.

i'm studying engineering but i know theres still other requirements. are you saying i can get some credits by scoring well on the AP?
i know i can get out of freshman writing seminar with english lang/lit AP, but what about like AP music theory, AP micro/macro, or AP US/world?

Just don't fail anything and you don't have anything to worry about :P
