Keeping options open or not?

Hello!

A couple months back.. or maybe less, you helped me decide among some majors that I really liked for a second degree. And among a few, I selected dietetics because I love everything about it. But I met with my substitute counselor this week (yes, the regular one is visiting colleges or something like that).. well anyways, although she was very happy with my new decision, she told me I should keep my options open. She mentioned that according to my tests and blah blah I might like to look into a career in speech language pathology. I liked it, but my knowledge is very limited (I'm reading tons of websites to get a better picture).. and I know I would need a master's.
I love nutrition and food and pretty much everything about dietetics, but SLP sounds quite interesting as well and I read job opportunities are increasing and they have generally, better pay that dietetics. I also read, that knowing other languages is a plus in SLP and I'm native in english and spanish and speak intermediate french. Hopefully will learn a couple more.
My new career mantra is from one of Marty Nemko's career advice: find a job in which you'll keep learning, that is fun and well payed. I want a mid-level or less stress career, in which I can help people on a face to face way, don't want monotony in my work and decent work hours.

Btw..Dietetics is UG+internship(9-12 months) and SLP is UG+Masters which is pretty much the same time.

I'd like to hear your opinions on SLP, and maybe you can tell me which you think would be better.. a career in dietetics or in SLP.

THANKSSS:)

bump bumppp
