<p>I don't post answers in "What are my chances?" threads, because two admission cycles have taught me that I cannot predict, based on the information people volunteer about themselves here, who will get in to what college. But one thing I have noticed: if you're talking about the most selective colleges, you have to submit the paperwork to have a chance above nil of getting in. As the admission officers of one famous college put it, "You can't get in if you don't apply." So APPLY to your "dream" school and to your sure-bet school. Round up the teachers to write recommendations. Take the &&#^ &!(%^## standardized tests required by each college you aspire to, write the application essays, and meet an interviewer for an interview if that is required. Don't give up until you have filed a completed application. (BY ALL MEANS, don't give up until you have filed a complete financial aid application too.) </p>
