take a jr. college class.

lol i think that may have the opposite effect . . .

oh really now?

Read Ulysses

Drugs are bad kids, mmkay?

It’s your decision, but don’t kid yourself; drugs only keep you at the status quo or make you dumber. They won’t make you more intelligent.

Yeah, right.

Learn to take a joke. I can’t say I know too many people who are concerned about their brains turning to mush over the summer. Most of my friends either want to earn cash or do something to build their resumes. There’s nothing wrong with doing some mind altering stuff now and then. There are enough people I know who experiment with crap and are still doing well academically at Ivy League schools.

And guess what? They’d be getting even better grades if they weren’t involved in drugs.

I haven’t been able to find a job at all this summer. To fill the brain void, I’m teaching myself Japanese. It’s a little tough, but I like it. I think I might want to study it for real in college now, too.

Yeah right. What a fckn generalization.

What happened to simply enjoying your summer and not worrying about your mind becoming mush? I think it’s more important to find interests and hobbies in life than it is to slave away to books for the sake of retaining your intellectual capacity. This summer I plan on traveling, taking up a few new hobbies, getting in better shape, and hanging out with friends.

There is more to life than being smart.

I don’t plan to be academically stimulated in the summer. I’m working at McDonald’s. I get enough stimulation during the school year.

I guess I should have left the word academically out. Because I agree with you vehicle, I think people should be able to enjoy their summers. I also went traveling before my freshmen year of college. It was a whole lot of fun but still stimulating.

I 100% completely agree with your statement "there is more to life than being smart’. I agree so much I can’t even put it in words lol. Great thoughts everyone!

lol . . . well smoking up everyday definitely doesn’t make you smarter

Most people in college don’t smoke everyday you ignorant *****.

geez…someone is touchy about their drug . . .
