<p>Indycar, I don’t think anybody here can tell you definitely how good your chances are. Below are some older posts about getting into Kelley. Keep in mind that it is probably more difficult now to get accepted than when these threads took place a year or two ago. Some of the generalizations that I think you can make, and of course there are probably going to be exceptions to these generalizations, are that</p>
<p>– overall gpa does not really matter. If you are getting all solid Bs and above, your gpa by definition will be over 3.0.</p>
<p>– getting at least a solid B in every course will get you automatic admission, as long as you meet the minimum hours, apply on time, etc.</p>
<p>– people can get accepted with less than solid B in all courses. From the posts by “inthemid”, who worked or works at Kelley, it is damaging to your chances to get less than a B in the admissions courses M118, M119, W131, K201. This may be because Kelley wants well rounded students, ones who have good math, technology, and communication skills.</p>
<p>In terms of your first semester, the B+ in A100 is a positive for you. According to one of the posters below, somebody involved in the decision making process commented that if you can do well in A100, you can probably do well in Kelley. Your B- in X100 is a bad grade for that class, as over 70% get a B or higher in that class. However, it is not a math or technology class, so maybe they won’t hold it against you too much. Also, Kelley often rewards an upward grade trend, and you still have some tough classes to take, so really high grades in K201 and M119 might be enough to get you in if you get all solid Bs and above next semester in your other classes. You should be able to bet a B+ easily in X104, as it is one of the easiest grading classes in Kelley. Overall, it is impossible to say your exact chances; a lot depends on how strong the rest of the applicants are. Obviously, everybody will all solid Bs get in, but who knows how many of these there will be, or how many there have been in past admission cycles-- nobody ever reveals that type of information, although one of the posters said that 53% were accepted one semester, so obviously not nearly everyone who applies has all solid Bs and, in order to fill out the class, they must be taking people with one or more B-. Probably important not to get the B-'s in M118, M119, W131, K201, although maybe a high grade in M119 could offset a B- in finite and vice versa.</p>
