S17 was admitted on October 4th to IU. Got letter in mail yesterday. Also got invite to apply for SSA scholarships. When and how do you hear about Kelley Direct Admit, and merit money? Thanks for help
Merit money comes way later, even for the automatic in-state $. I think DD2 got hers after the holidays.
@BigPapiofthree money stuff comes later from what others have told me who have kids at IU. On the direct admit, my D also got invite to SSA, when I went to her One.IU and did the search for Scholarships her welcome page for the SSA at the very bottom also had a section that told her she was eligible for Direct Admit and that an invitation to join would be coming in a separate notice from the School. The instructions also told her that she should include information relevant to her major in her essay’s since the SSA app and essay is shared with the Department for their consideration. She is school of Education so not sure if Kelley included anything like that on the SSA welcome page or not. Might want to have your S17 check the One.IU account to see if that indicated anything at the bottom.
