When i got accepted I didnt have the required ACT score to get direct admit. I retook it in December and got a 29. Do I just send my scores to IU or do I have to petition also?

I highly doubt you have to petition. You should probably email diradmit@indiana.edu though just so that they don’t overlook the new score.

My daughter was a direct admit with a 29, but you also have to have a certain GPA, not sure what that is though.

If anyone has done the petition I need some help. Under the question asking “Please inform us of other circumstances we should be aware of as we consider your petition?” is it necessary to write anything? I’m not sure what to even put for it.

When i visited IU i had the opportunity to talk to a member of the petition committee and he said they really dont care about the written thing and it’s mainly about grades. But if you had a special circumstance regarding your testing or graders or something i guess that’s where I’d put it

thanks. I’m only one point off the ACT so hopefully i’ll get in
