I got direct admission into both Indiana's Business school and Penn State's Business School. I know that both have great programs. I want to major in Finance and Entrepreneurship. I need some help deciding.

Slight nod to Kelley.

^ I agree.

I’m a freshman in Smeal and it’s ‘ehhh’ at best. You can feel the very professional focus, but you also just feel like a number. Just get in, teach yourself, get a job, get out. That’s great for some, but I’m transferring to somewhere with more of an education based initiative that’s slightly more student focused. Honestly though, both programs are fantastic. Smeal also requires a 3.5 GPA (supposedly going up to 3.6 next year) as an entrance to major requirement for finance, so there’s always that to consider. Also, if you’re interested in finance and entrepreneurship, don’t rule out private schools within New York City or Chicago. They’re both financially powerful cities with Fortune 500 and Dow 30 companies, and a lot of the schools have a great and useful alumni association within the city, which is really helpful towards fast-tracking yourself into day trading or stock broking. Just sayin.

lilBentner,
Could you elaborate on the 3.5 GPA requirement?
