Not sure what is better? I am a DA at Kelley, but considering transferring after first year
The Econ major is not offered through Kelley. It’s the College of Arts and Sciences. I don’t know anything about Michigan, but I’d encourage you to give IU a chance freshman year

Meant to say Kelley Finance or Michigan Econ? I am interested in I-Banking, but not sure how recruiters would compare the programs. I know Michigan Ross is more prestigious than Kelley. I was wondering if Michigan Econ would still be looked at higher than Kelley Finance in the Banking world
Kelley has the investment banking workshop, which so far has placed all of it’s members into investment banking who wanted go into banking. I can’t find that statistic online, but that is what the professor who leads the program said.

Also, some rankings rank Kelley ahead of Ross

I really have no clue whether investment banking firms prefer finance or econ degrees.
I wouldn’t discredit Kelley just because Ross has been ranked higher in the past. I’ve heard that the investment banking workshop at Kelley is fairly difficult to get in to and requires a decent amount of work. It’s very good. And after all, the USCO has been consistently ranked #1, which is definitely a good thing when it comes to jobs in the real world. The Kelley finance degree is great and it doesn’t take much to get an econ minor as well. You could potentially get both at IU and have a leg up when you enter the banking world.
If you got into both kelley and Ross with equivalent COA, you should go to Ross. IB is not an easy route especially if economy is slowing down. We don’t know how many IBW members can secure the return offer at the end of this summer. This link has more discussion.
