<p>Help!! My oldest is going in circles trying to decide between these two schools - he's direct admit & honors at KSB, and in C&F & may be considering NROTC at 'Nova. We've visited both & very much like both. Leaving aside financial and other obvious considerations like the difference in size and location, which school is better?? I know Kelley is ranked much higher, but Villanova stats on recruiting and placement look great, too. Son seems to think Villanova has a better all-around rep, but I wonder if that's really more just on the East Coast?? Any comments would be appreciated!!</p>
<p>I'm in the midwest (a suburb of Chicago), and Villanova has a reputation of being more elite than IU among the people I've talked to. We know someone who was a direct admit into Kelley at IU, did NOT get into Villanova, and has decided to go to Boston College. </p>
<p>Elite doesn't necessarily mean better, however.</p>
<p>What does Villanova have to offer in the way of business? If you went to direct admit day at IU, you'll see they have a lot of opportunities at IU. I'm not sure what they have at Villanova, but I know my son considered it for about five minutes and wasn't happy with what he saw on their site with regard to business.</p>
<p>A good friend of mine was in the same situation she ultimately chose Kelly over Villanova and belive it or not, NYU Stern. She DOES NOT like NYC. She fetl along with her dad who did extensive research that kelly;s program is stronger, higher rated and overall a better school to attend. Villanova itself is ranked higher than IU but the business programs according to them are quite different, he felt Kelly's was superior, and this too influened my own decision making process. Just thought I would share this with you.</p>
