Kelley School of Business

I am an incoming freshmen at IUB and a direct admit to Kelley. One of the biggest reasons I chosed Kelley over other schools is due to the exceptional job rate. But after a lot of digging around the internet, the 94 percent of job offers from http://www.bloomberg.com/bschools/rankings/undergraduate_mba_profiles/indiana.html is apparently not the correct statistics. Many people said that the Kelley job rates at around 30 percent and that most are Kelley honors kids which I am not. Kind of freaking out a bit. If anyone has any idea what the actual job rate out of Kelley is, it would be huge thanks.

I don’t know what the true placement rate is, but I can guarantee you that it is way above 30 percent

Here are some recent USCO statistics.

If it’s not 94%, it’s AT LEAST 90%. Where did you read that it was not 94%? 94% seems pretty accurate to me, and I am a Kelley student and have plenty of friends who just graduated (all with great jobs and same with their friends).

Have above a 3.0 GPA, and do what the UCSO tells you to do, and you will have multiple job offers before you know it. It could not be any easier.

gleek96 thank you so much for the reply! Huge relief! and also hkem123 thanks for the great advice~

Hi-I am an incoming freshman at Kelley, and I’m registering for classes this week. I am hoping to major in Accounting, Finance, or Marketing. I would also like to double-minor in Spanish and Media and Creative Advertising. Does this schedule look good for first semester?

Kelley Compass I (BUS-T175) [1.5 hr]
Finite Math (MATH-M118) [3 hr]
Business Presentations (C106) [3 hr]
KLLC Development (BUS-T134) [1 hr]
Basic Accounting (BUS-A100) [1 hr]
Visual Communications (MSCH-C226)[3 hr]
For Spanish I’m considering taking one of the following:
[3hrs for all]
HISP-S 324, 326, or 315 (280 if I don’t test into the 300 level).

I tested out of English Comp. (ENG-W131), so I don’t have to worry about that. Additionally, I am taking Microeconomics over the summer. Thanks!!
