I don’t know about your odds of getting into Kelley, but your grades less than B may be hard to overcome. Needless to say, you took too many courses before applying and way too many difficult ones like W131, L201, and E201 – all of which you could have avoided taking and still applied to Kelley.

Don’t look at it as wasting two years if you don’t get into Kelley. You will have wasted only about one semester, assuming you stay at IUB and get a liberal arts degree or a SPEA degree. That is because you have earned 24 COAS credits and 20 of the 35 Kelley and Hper credits you will have after this semester can be applied to the COAS degree. That gives you 44 credits toward a COAS degree, when 60 after sophomore year puts you on pace to graduate with the needed 120 credits. So, you will have only 16 credits that you can’t use for the COAS degree. That figure may be even less for SPEA, but SPEA has so many different major requirements that you will have to figure that out using their bulletin.

I definitely would not take A202 and stats this summer. Seems like Kelley will already have enough information to make the admissions decision, and those two courses are risky to get a solid B or above. Also, don’t risk adding six more credits to the total of around 16 credits that you already have and cannot apply to a COAS degree and to one of the SPEA degrees, although I can’t say how many exactly will apply to any SPEA majors.

Instead of taking A202 and stats this summer, I would take two or so liberal arts classes at community college, classes that would apply to IU gen ed requirements. You can’t lose that way, since you can use those gen ed credits for any degree at IUB.

Also, say you get accepted to Kelley this summer. You can then sign up to take in the Fall at IUB A202, E370 or another qualifying stats class, and BUS G345, which applies to a number of Kelley majors, including Accounting, finance, and BEPP. You need E202, which you don’t have now, so I would make E202 one of the summer cc classes this summer. Also take BUS-Z 302 MANAGING & BEHAVR IN ORGANIZTIONS; you only need junior standing for that, and it is required to graduate from Kelley. That would give you 12 credits to apply to Kelley degree. Probably take one gen ed to get to 15 credits that semester. I would register for all those classes now, then drop them this summer if not getting into Kelley. You can sign up for them all except G345. Sign up E202 at a community college, then send the IUB registrar proof of your registering for the E202 summer cc class so that the registrar can sign you up for a G345 class.

Then take Icore in spring 2015, and you will be on pace to graduate in four years, or very close to that pace.

Summer 2014 at community college – 6-9 credits
Econ E202 (will apply to COAS and needed for Kelley, too)
IUB gen ed
Maybe one more IUB gen ed, if you can find one that qualifies

Fall 2014 – 15 credits
Bus A202
Econ E370 or equivalent
Bus Z302
Bus G345 (if you will major in accounting, finance, real estate, or BEPP)
Gen ed class

Spring 2014 — 14 credits

Icore

If you don’t get accepted to Kelley, then take Fall 2014 classes that will apply to your new degree program. You will have 50-53 credits [if you do 6-9 credits at cc this summer and skip A202 and stats at IUB] to apply to the new program if it is in COAS, which only puts you two or three classes behind the 120 credit pace to graduate.
